Cycle past the churning Partnach Gorge, along the waters of Lake Tegernsee, or by the impressive Bad Urach waterfall, and find yourself right in the middle of German nature. For those looking for a bit more excitement: race down the Nesselwang Coaster summer toboggan run, or soar above the fairytale Neuschwanstein Castle with the virtual paragliding route over Tegelberg. A collection full of surprises, from bustling city life to breathtaking heights.
For the best impression, watch the video above, but below we highlight two chapters of the route.
For this route, you don't have to cycle for a while, because you take to the air. From the summit of the Tegelberg, high above the German town of Füssen, you virtually float over the breathtaking Bavarian landscape, with the fairytale castle Neuschwanstein right below you. The Tegelberg has been a favorite spot for paragliders for decades, and it is precisely that free, floating feeling that makes this route so special. Below you stretch shimmering lakes, dense pine forests, and the impressive peaks of the Allgäu Alps. A route that literally gives you a different perspective, and one you probably won't soon forget.
At least as impressive is the route through the Partnachklamm, a 700-meter-long and up to 80-meter-deep gorge near Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Since 1912, this gorge has been a protected natural monument, formed by centuries of churning meltwater from the glaciers of the Zugspitze. Formerly used to transport logs to the valley, today you virtually cycle through the gorge via narrow paths and rock tunnels. Steep rock faces tower above you on either side, while the water rushes on incessantly below. A route that takes you into one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the Bavarian Alps.
