Fly with us to sunny France: 7 new routes
February 3, 2025

This month, you can discover France with seven new routes – perfect for a virtual bike tour with your clients, residents, or patients. Ride through green parks and past historic buildings in the charming city of Thionville, located along the Moselle River. Or enjoy sun, sea, and the beautiful Vieux-Port in Marseille.

Among the seven new routes, you’ll also find an old favorite: the Marseille route has been completely reshot and updated! We highlight two of our routes: Marseille and Riquewihr.

Marseille and Riquewihr are two completely different but equally fascinating places in France. A virtual cycling tour through these cities is an adventure in itself!

Marseille

The port city of Marseille, located on France’s sunny Mediterranean coast, is a vibrant melting pot of cultures, history, and nature. As you cycle virtually through the city, you will pass the famous Vieux-Port (Old Port), where boats gently bob on the waves and the scent of fresh fish fills the air. The city boasts an impressive mix of old and modern architecture – from the towering Basilique Notre-Dame de la Garde, overlooking the city, to the futuristic Mucem (Museum of the Civilizations of Europe and the Mediterranean), a stunning architectural wonder by the waterfront.
Ride through the bustling Le Panier district, with its colorful streets and striking graffiti art. Discover cozy cafés and restaurants where you can enjoy a delicious bouillabaisse, the region’s famous fish soup.

The Marseille coastline is equally breathtaking: cycle through the stunning Calanques National Park, where dramatic limestone cliffs rise from the crystal-clear water – a true natural wonder!

Riquewihr

In contrast to Marseille’s urban energy, Riquewihr is a picturesque village in Alsace, famous for its medieval charm. As you cycle virtually through its cobbled streets, you’ll feel as if you’ve stepped back in time. The half-timbered houses, adorned with flowers and geraniums, look straight out of a fairy tale. The vibrant facades and narrow alleys have been perfectly preserved, making Riquewihr one of the most beautiful villages in France.

The landscape surrounding Riquewihr is breathtaking: rolling hills filled with vineyards, known for producing exceptional Riesling and Gewürztraminer wines. Ride past the vineyards stretching to the horizon and stop by a local winery to experience the region’s flavors.

The ancient city walls and towers give Riquewihr an authentic medieval atmosphere. As you cycle through the city gates, past the historic walls and charming squares, you can imagine what life was like here centuries ago.

Whether you want to experience the maritime charm of Marseille or immerse yourself in Riquewihr’s medieval beauty, a virtual cycling tour through these cities offers an incredible mix of nature, culture, and history.

It’s like a journey through two completely different worlds in France – the vibrant Mediterranean coast and the enchanting countryside of Alsace. Cycling through these places offers an amazing contrast: the bustling, seaside metropolis versus the peaceful, storybook village where time seems to stand still. Perfect for a virtual getaway!
