Dubai is one of the United Arab Emirates and is located on the Perian Gulf. Most of Dubai is a desert; you won't find any rivers or lakes. Dubai is known for its wealth, rich population and luxury. This wealth is mainly obtained by their oil reserves.
In this cycling tour you can choose between two routes. There is a cycling route through the old Bastakiya and through the newer part of Dubai with the famous Burj Khalifa.
Bastakiya together with Al Shingdagha is one of the oldest districts of Dubai. There are a lot of windmills, but you can also cycle along the Al Fahidi Fort (part of the Dubai Museum) 200 year old city wall. Fortunately it is still there, because in 1970 almost half of the city was demolished in order to build new skyscraping offices.
The Burj Khalifa is the highest skyscraper in the world. This building breaks many world records, from highest restaurant to the fastest elevator. This cycling tour gives you an image of the modern part of Dubai.
